On Oct. 1, 2024, Lawrence General Hospital completed the acquisition of Holy Family Hospital in Methuen and Haverhill with a shared commitment to reimagine the delivery of health care to the Merrimack Valley. On September 9, 2025 all three hospitals collectively joined under the new name Merrimack Health. There are many steps in this journey toward an integrated system, and we have combined our billing processes.
What does that mean for you?
As of Tuesday, March 18, 2025, whether you are a patient at our Methuen, Haverhill or Lawrence campuses, you will now receive a combined statement for services. This will provide the ability to pay or make combined payment arrangements, regardless of where your care was received.
What is changing?
Patient Statements
Your statement will be combined with other services you receive through Merrimack Health for ease of understanding and less mail. While the layout may look different, the information about your service, payments, and questions will be outlined clearly.
Customer Service
As of March 18, our toll-free customer service number is 800-695-2514.
Payment Portal
Our online payment portal has been updated to www.patientportal.lawrencegeneral.org, which will allow you to pay for your services regardless at which hospital you received your care.
Payment Address
The address for mailing payments has been updated. Please take note that if you are mailing in payments or have automated payments set up with your bank, the address may need to be updated to process payments.
