Merrimack Health Methuen Hospital and Merrimack Health Haverhill Hospital have earned the Excellent Health Outcomes for All Certification (formerly Health Care Equity Certification) from The Joint Commission, recognizing the organization’s commitment to advancing equitable care and improving health outcomes for all patients, employees, and communities served.
During an initial full review, surveyors evaluated organizational strategies, workforce engagement, and system-level initiatives supporting health equity, access, and consistent, high-quality outcomes across diverse patient populations. This recognition reflects a continued commitment to fairness, inclusion, and continuous improvement in how care is delivered across the communities we serve.

Considered the leading organization of board-certified pathologists, CAP serves patients, pathologists, and the public by fostering and advocating excellence in the practice of pathology and laboratory medicine worldwide.
American College of Radiology
Founded in 1924, the American College of Radiology is at the forefront of radiology evolution, representing more than 38,000 radiologists, radiation oncologists, nuclear medicine physicians and medical physicists. Our proven track record of diagnosing early stages of breast cancer has helped Merrimack Health Methuen Hospital earn the distinction as a breast imaging center of excellence.
American Heart Association
The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association recognizes Merrimack Health for its continued success in using the Get With The Guidelines Stroke program. Merrimack Health has applied the most up-to-date evidence-based treatment guidelines to improve patient care and outcomes in the community we serve.
